I’m a psychotherapist and psychoanalyst in private practice in Greenwich Village. Since 2024 I have also been an associate professor of clinical psychoanalysis in the Department of Psychiatry at Columbia.
In my practice I work with adults, young adults, and adolescents struggling with anxiety, depression, interpersonal conflict, complex life transitions, and related difficulties. Other patients come to me mainly out of curiosity, wanting to learn more about themselves. Good therapy, in my experience, balances inquiry, insight, and kindness.
I received my B.A. from Brown, my Ph.D. in intellectual and cultural history from Stanford, and my clinical training from the Institute for Psychoanalytic Training and Research (IPTAR), with additional training through the Melanie Klein Trust.
