I’m a psychotherapist and psychoanalyst in private practice in Greenwich Village, where I work with adults, young adults, and late adolescents struggling with anxiety, depression, interpersonal conflict, complex life transitions, and other difficulties. I also work with people who come to me mainly out of curiosity, wanting to learn more about their inner worlds. I believe that effective therapy balances insight with kindness.
In 2024 I was appointed associate professor of clinical psychoanalysis in the Department of Psychiatry at Columbia. I received my B.A. from Brown, my Ph.D. in intellectual and cultural history from Stanford, and my clinical training from the Institute for Psychoanalytic Training and Research (IPTAR), with additional training through the Melanie Klein Trust.
